A Legacy of Arts and Culture

50 Years of Art in Southern Virginia is a program funded by the Virginia Commission for the Arts
and the Virginia Tourism Corporation, which celebrates the rich legacy of the arts in Martinsville-Henry County and the surrounding areas.

This year, Piedmont Arts, Martinsville's premier art museum and educational outreach center, celebrates its 50th anniversary.  To mark this momentous occasion Piedmont Arts has partnered with the Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation's Tourism & Film Division, Southern Virginia Artisan Center, Arts at the Rives Theatre and Reynolds Homestead to encourage participation in the many arts-related activities in our area.  Please join us in celebrating the arts in Southern Virginia by taking part in the events planned for the upcoming year and beyond.
