Annual Ridgeway Springfest

Held the first Saturday of May in Ridgeway, Virginia

Girl Scout Troop 387 and the town of Ridgeway invite you to Ridgeway Springfest, a day packed with fun and excitement for all. Bring your lawn chair, kick back and listen to live music. Join in the 1 mile fun run or enjoy inflatables and kiddie rides.

Fieldale Heritage Festival

Fieldale Heritage Festival

Held the third Saturday of May in Fieldale, Virginia

Named one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society! 

Visit the Village of Fieldale, established in 1917 by Marshall Field & Co. to enjoy arts and crafts, food, music, tours of historic homes, reenactments and more.

Rooster Walk 5 Music & Arts Festival 

Held Memorial Day Weekend at Blue Mountain Festival Grounds

Named one of the BRO 100 top adventures to check out in 2012 by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine! 

Musical genres include bluegrass, roots rock, jazz and jam bands. In addition to music, there will be food, arts & crafts as well as children activities.

Battle of Martinsville3rd Battle of Martinsville Civil War Reenactment

Held the first weekend in June each year at the Smith River Sports Complex

Sons of Confederate Veterans Stuart-Hairston Camp 515 invite you to join them for a Civil War reenactment, encampment and living history weekend. You'll have the opportunity to see sutlers, artillery, horses and more. Meet Colonel Keith Cornelius, commander of the Confederate Forces and Colonel Lance Dawson, commander of the Federal Forces. Reenactors for both the cavalry and artillery make the battle truly come to life. Battles will be held both days with full size guns, artillery, infantry and cavalry.

 

 

 

Smith River Fest

Held the second Saturday of August at the Smith River Sports Complex

A festival in celebration of all things associated with outdoor recreation. Events include: river race & mud run, family fun float, free kid's canoe rides, free bicycle rentals, climbing wall, bouncy castles, hiking, cornhole, fly fishing demos, food, vendors and much more.

Bassett Heritage Festival  

 
Held the Second Saturday of September in Bassett, Virginia 

Visit the home of the Bassett Furniture World Headquarters, established in 1902, to celebrate the rich heritage of this community. Festival participants will enjoy vendor booths, kids activities, live music, a parade and more!

Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest International Arts & Culture Festival

Held the first Saturday of October in Uptown Martinsville

Offers two streets of vendors. "Little Germany" offers a beer garden selling craft beer as well as traditional German foods like delicious bratwurst. Loaded with amazing crafters and talented artisans, this street fair has something for everyone. A variety of food vendors will be on site. The Big Chair stage will showcase an assortment of talent as well.
