Join us in Historic Uptown Martinsville to celebrate our Deep Roots and heritage of furniture making and arts. The Big Chair Affair recognizes the contributions made to our community by area furniture manufacturers and the thousands of skilled craftsmen employed by them over the past 100 years.

The festival will feature furniture, art, music and food and will be centered around The Big Chair, America's largest wooden chair, in Uptown Martinsville.

The Big Chair represents the furniture heritage of our past as well as the artisans that continue to create beautiful and functional works of art today that can be seen at the Southern Virginia Artisan Center, Studio 107 and Piedmont Arts as well as other area galleries.
