The Skate Park, rated as one of the best in Virginia, located at J. Frank Wilson park was built to give youth a safe place to practice the craft of skating and skateboarding. With the help of WakeNSkate, the park was designed by a group of dedicated youth who love to skate, set a goal and worked very hard to achieve it.
Skateboarders frequent the park and you'll see many tricks and jumps, some you may want to try yourself and others you may close your eyes not to see.
If you love to skate and are coming to Martinsville, don't forget your board and join the many skaters of the community at the Skate Park to share skills and have fun.
Micah Gaudio of WakeNSkate visited the park opening day and was very impressed with the course. He said, "kids need a place to go and get out their skate energy, and it needs to be cool like this".
