Driving Directions

Stonehaus Farms opened in 1998 and is a petting ranch nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains that serves as a calm retreat from the hustle and bustle of urban life. We encourage all to escape the ordinary and learn lost arts. Stonehaus has grown into a working and breeding farm devoted to teaching the lost arts and animal husbandry. Our specialties include; Great Pyrenees Guardian Dogs, Llamas and Nigerian Dwarf Goats. We also have 18 different types of chickens, 6 types of ducks, 3 types of geese, 2 beautiful peacocks and 2 miniature Jack Donkeys. The mission of Stonehaus Farms is to enrich the life of each guest by providing unique animals and education in a pleasant environment. By fulfilling this mission, Stonehaus Farms will realize its vision to be an outlet to teach folks about our different animals and see God's Wonder in all creatures. We offer classes in the lost arts, such as cheesemaking, spinning and leathermaking. More classes will be added as our Artisan partnership programs grow! If you love fresh eggs, we sell them on our farm. Let us plan and host your next wedding, reunion, anniversary or birthday party.  Children under 13 will be $3 each and adult are $7.  Private tours are available upon request.  Come on down to see us!  We'll give you the experience you'll never forget!
