Allman Brothers Tribute This Saturday

Henry County native and current Nashville recording artist Josh Shilling will come home to put on an Allman Brothers Tribute set this Saturday for our annual Day After Christmas show at the Rives.

Shilling, the lead singer for bluegrass band Mountain Heart, will be joined on stage by local rock/blues favorites Left Hip Pocket. Shilling and LHP first joined forces last May at the Rooster Walk Music & Arts Festival to put on a similar Allman Brothers tribute set. Their performance was one of the most talked among the festival's 4 days of music.

After Saturday's Allman Brothers set and a brief intermission, Left Hip Pocket will return to the Rives Theatre stage to perform a set of their own, which will feature a mix of originals and covers.

All tickets cost $12 each. Tickets can be purchased from Woodall's Music in Collinsville, the Daily Grind in Uptown Martinsville, or online HERE. Tickets purchased at the theatre's box office on Saturday night will also cost $12. Doors to the theatre will open at 8 pm, and music will begin around 9 pm.

Arts at the Rives Theatre (ART) is a 501c3 community-based nonprofit dedicated to maintaining and preserving the historic Rives Theatre while promoting music, arts and educational programming. The theatre was built in 1932 as a playhouse, then operated for more than 60 years as a first-run movie theatre. For more information about ART, click HERE.
