Auditions for Growing Up Gospel 2: The Revival Revue start August 19

Auditions for the Patriot Players’ next performance, Growing Up Gospel 2: The Revival Revue, are:

• Friday, August 19; 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
• Saturday, August 20; 10 a.m.  – 1 p.m. 

The show is the much requested sequel to the Patriot Players’ 2014 performance of Growing Up Gospel.  The show features traditional, contemporary, and modern gospel performed within musical theatre.

All auditions are held in the Walker Theatre at Patrick Henry Community College. To schedule an audition time, email phccpatriotplayers@patrickhenry.edu. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Actors must be over thirteen years of age to audition.  All body types and vocal ranges are welcome. Those auditioning should prepare 16-32 bars of song or roughly one verse and one chorus. Performers can sing a cappella or bring an MP3 instrumental track. An accompanist will not be provided.  Those with prior gospel experience are encouraged to audition.
