Bug Daze Festival Is This Saturday

Spring is in the air and the Virginia Museum of Natural History has gone buggy! The museum has opened the special exhibit "Farmers, Warriors, Builders: The Hidden Life of Ants" now through July 5 and we're hosting the return of the Bug Daze festival this Saturday, May 3, to celebrate the new exhibit!

The festival will feature the Bearded Bee Man who - as his name suggests - fearlessly covers his face with hundreds of bees! Additionally, a plethora of insects from the rarely-seen VMNH entomology collections, as well as the Virginia Tech entomology collections, will be on display!

Of course, no museum festival would be complete without bunches of games, crafts, and activities taking place throughout the day. Food and drinks from the PALEO Café and souvenirs from the Museum Store will be available for purchase all day long, too.

This Saturday, the museum is the place to be for anyone wishing to entertain their insect curiosities or to cure their buggy fears!
