Arts Business Basics Webinars

Jennifer Reis of Make Do Creative will host a series of Arts Business Basics classes via Zoom on May 26 – 27, 2020, with proceeds supporting Piedmont Arts. Sessions will cover broad entrepreneurship skills and business modeling concepts, understanding what branding means for your creative venture and how to market your artistic work and services. 16 Hands: Two Generations, Working Together

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Floyd, Virginia, there is an enclave of craftsmen who, over the past 25 years, have solidified deep friendships as well as a network of creative, technical and professional support. Drawn to the area by its beauty and tranquility, with much determination, they established working studios, vital careers and a way of life. Two Generations, Working Together features work by 16 Hands members Ellen Shankin, Brad Warstler, Silvie Granatelli, Benjie Osborne, Josh Manning, Donna Polseno, Hona Knudsen, Wendy Werstlein, Sarah McCarthy, Seth Guzovsky, Andrea Denniston and Josh Copus.

Dreaming Geometry: An Artistic Exploration of Mathematics will be on display in the Lynwood Artists Gallery.

Cheeseburger in Paradise Garden Party

Got a Caribbean soul you can barely control? Then, sail on over to the Cheeseburger in Paradise Garden Party, where the margaritas are cold, the music is easy and the cheeseburgers are Heaven on Earth with an onion slice. Summer Art Camp: Grades K – 2
June 16 – 19, 2020 • 9:30 am – 12 pm daily • Piedmont Arts
$65 Members • $75 Non-members
Campers will create fun arts and crafts, while drawing inspiration from the galleries, famous artists and creative activities. Explore a variety of artistic techniques, styles and materials. An art show will take place at the end of camp, showcasing campers’ work for their families to enjoy. Register at PiedmontArts.org or call 276.632.3221. Advanced registration required.
