Call to Artists: Expressions 2018: Artists Invited to Enter Work in Open-Entry Exhibition

Artists interested in entering work in Expressions 2018, an annual open-entry exhibition presented by Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts, should drop off their work at Piedmont Arts on Saturday, May 5, 2018 between 10 am – 2 pm.

Before entering work, all artists should review the Expressions 2018 entry form with rules and important information about the entry process. Entry forms are available at Piedmont Arts, located at 215 Starling Avenue, and online at PiedmontArts.org.

WHO MAY ENTER
Residents of Martinsville, Virginia and/or residents of all counties and cities within a 100-mile radius of Martinsville, including high school students in grades 9 – 12, may enter work in Expressions 2018. No more than two works may be submitted by each artist and all work must adhere to the guidelines found in the Expressions 2018 entry form.

Artists who are members of Lynwood Artists or students in grades 9 – 12 may also enter work on Thursday, May 3 from 4 – 6 pm at the museum.

Expressions 2018 is a judged exhibition with cash prizes awarded for first, second and third place in seven categories, as well as purchase awards, the Lynwood Artists Award and Best In Show. This year’s exhibition will be judged by Kimberly C. Piland, exhibition coordinator at Taubman Museum of Art.

EXHIBITION DATES
Expressions 2018 will be on display May 19 – July 20, 2018 at Piedmont Arts. A reception and awards ceremony for artists will be held Friday, May 18 at 6 pm at the museum.
