Celebrate with Patriots Racing

Patriots at RaceCome meet the drivers and students of the motorsports program at Patrick Henry Community College and see what they've accomplished throughout the year.

The Racing Patriots Showcase will start at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17 in front of West Hall on campus. PHCC invites the entire community to celebrate a fourth-place season finish at South Boston Speedway and a 10th place finish at October's Virginia is for Lovers 300 Late Model race.

PHCC's No. 73 Driver Bruce Anderson will be there to greet the crowd and talk about his season at South Boston. Butch Hamlet, the No. 21 driver at Virginia International Raceway, will be on hand to answer questions about PHCC students and how they helped him get his car ready to race.

Clay Campbell, president of the Martinsville Speedway, will be there in the Pace Car, and Dr. Angeline Godwin, PHCC president, will come to support the Patriots Racing crew.
Guests can grab some refreshments, see the cars, meet the drivers and talk to the student crew. There will also be a drawing for a chance to win two tickets to the Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500 race on Oct. 27. To find out more, visit www.patrickhenry.edu.
