Chase Elliott Headlines Group Set to Join the First Data 500 Pre Race Experience at Martinsville Speedway

Chase Elliott made his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series debut at Martinsville Speedway in 2015. In 2018, the rising star has claimed two wins and will be part of the Round of 8 in the NASCAR Playoffs when the First Data 500 rolls around on October 28.

Before he takes the green flag looking to do something his father Bill never did – win at Martinsville Speedway – Elliott will participate in the Pre Race Experience, offering fans a glimpse into his life in and outside the No. 9 Chevrolet during an emceed question-and-answer session.

“Chase is certainly a rising star in NASCAR and makes a great addition to the Pre Race Experience,” Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell said. “He came close to earning his first grandfather clock just a few months ago and we think he will be a contender at Martinsville for years to come. We are thrilled to have him as a part of this fan-focused event.”

Elliott, the 2016 Sunoco Rookie of the Year, along with Matt DiBenedetto, Cole Whitt and Hermie Sadler will join Kyle Busch and William Byron as drivers scheduled to participate in the Pre Race Experience.

The Pre Race Experience, $30 for adults and $15 for youth 17-and-under, gives fans the chance to watch driver introductions from the frontstretch, along with a morning full of fun and excitement on the track.

In addition to the emceed question-and-answer sessions, the Pre Race Experience offers fans the opportunity to walk the frontstretch on race morning, sign the start/finish line, have a photo opportunity in mock Victory Lane, and enjoy music, games and prizes, all beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The Pre Race Experience will remain open until the conclusion of driver introductions.

Admission to the Pre Race Experience does not include a ticket for the First Data 500.

The First Data 500 weekend is October 26-28.

Advance ticket prices for the First Data 500 begin at just $48 with youth tickets for fans 17-and-under costing just $25 regardless of location. Youth 17-and-under will be admitted free to the Texas Roadhouse 200 presented by Alpha Energy Solutions NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race as well as Friday’s practice day.

The weekend starts with a practice day for the truck series on Friday, followed by the Hauler Parade.

On Saturday, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is in action with the Texas Roadhouse 200 presented by Alpha Energy Solutions. Following the race the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will qualify for Sunday’s First Data 500.

Tickets to both races and Pre Race Experience passes are on sale and may be purchased by calling 877.RACE.TIX or online at www.martinsvillespeedway.com
