Clogging Class, Native American Storytelling & More
Have you ever wanted to be one of the folks dancing at our Music Night? Join us on Tuesdays here at the Centre and learn to clogg. Marla Perry, a member of the Old Dominion Cloggers, will begin a clogging class Tuesday, July 11, 18, 27, 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Learn the basic clogging steps and then join us on Music Night to dance. Cost of the class is $20/members & $25/non-members. Call the Centre to register, 276-957-5757.
Music Night at Spencer-Penn Centre is Friday, July 14. Doors open at 5pm. Open MIC is at 5:30, bring your instrument and join the group. At 6:20, Zepher Lightning Bolts will take the stage for some great bluegrass music. Two Young Two Old will be on at 7:40. There will be special performances by The Old Dominion Cloggers. It’s sure to be a great night of music and dancing. Dust off your dancing shoes, grab a friend and come hungry, we will have the air conditioning on. Concessions will be available. Need a gift for someone special, or just want to try your hand at making a basket? Join us at the Spencer-Penn Centre on July 15, 9:15am to noon for our basket making class. Hazel Coleman will be the instructor. This is a great class and has been growing each month. The cost of the class: $25 to $45.00 depending on the basket. Native American Storytelling

Join us at Spencer Penn Centre as we welcome Renae Butterfly Morning Wagoner for a storytelling program. Discover a new and unique way to uncover links in your family tree through Native American storytelling. American Indian, Renae Butterfly Morning Wagoner, shares stories that will put a different spin on traditional genealogical research, all while enjoying the fun! The stories will have you laughing, crying, and most importantly, thinking.
