Clogging, Knitting & More at the Spencer Penn Centre
Have you ever wanted to be one of the folks dancing at our Music Night? Join us on Tuesday nights here at the Centre and learn to clogg. Marla Perry, a member of the Old Dominion Cloggers, will begin a clogging class Monday, February 6, 13 & 27, 6:30 to 7:30pm. Learn the basic clogging steps and then join us on Music Night to dance. Special Sunday Concert Reminiscing with Robbie and Betty- February 5, 3pm
The duo, Robbie and Betty sing music to help seniors reminisce about their past.The music travels through the big band era, 50’s sock hop, 60’s ballads, country classics, timeless standards and gospel.The audience will recall songs from some of their favorite artists such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Fats Domino, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline and many others. There is no charge for the concert, but donations for the band appreciated. The public is invited.
Saturday, Feb. 25 & March 4, 9am, two day class with Cecelia Cassady instructor. Students will make a scarf using basic stitches. Yarn will be provided. Students must bring needles size 11. Cost $20/members & $25/non-members. Must pre-register, class size is limited to 10.
