Corn Hole Tournament Series at SRSC

The Smith River Sports Complex (SRSC) will host a corn hole tournament series, the Autos by Nelson Corn Hole Tournament Series, starting in April and will run through August.

The double elimination tournaments will have a professional division and an amateur division. Having these two divisions will give competitors of all skill levels the opportunity to play in a single tournament or the entire series.

The five corn hole tournaments will be on the following dates in 2014: April 12, May 17, June 21, July 26 and August 16. The rain dates will be on the following: April 26, May 31, June 28, August 2 and August 23. A championship tournament will be played immediately after the fifth regular tournament on August 16th.

Tournament registration for the first four tournaments will begin at 6 p.m. and last until 6:30 p.m. with the tournament beginning at 7 p.m. The last tournament, August 16th, registration will begin at 4 p.m. and last until 4:30 p.m. with the tournament starting at 5 p.m.

During the regular tournaments the Pro Division will win higher payouts than Amateurs. All 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in both divisions will automatically be entered in one pool for the Championship Tournament. The Championship Tournament will play immediately after the August 16th regular tournament where 1st place will win $500, 2nd place $200 & 3rd place $50 courtesy of Autos by Nelson.

"We are excited to partner with Autos by Nelson on this tournament series," said Amanda Gray, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Smith River Sports Complex. "This is a game that anyone can play and we are thrilled to expand on our number of community events for all to enjoy."

Registration for the entire series will be $120 per team in the professional division and $80 per team in the amateur division. Early registration for individual tournaments will be $30 per team in the professional division and $20 per team in amateur. The fee will go up $10 in each division when you sign up the day of the event.

There will be a cut off for 60 teams per division so you are encouraged to sign up early to secure a spot. You can pick up a registration form from the Complex or visit www.SmithRiverSportsComplex.com.

In addition, each tournament will have a 50/50 raffle as well as live music from the following bands whom are listed in playing order of each tournament: Rebel Guns, ETA, Fatz, the Broken Glass Band and Tenured Souls. Adult beverages and food from the Complex concession stand will be sold.
