The final of a four-tournament series in the Blood, Sweat, and Ears Corn Hole Tournament Series presented by the Smith River Sports Complex (SRSC) will take place this Sat., August 22.

Immediately following this tournament, the championship tournament will take place. This tournament will involve the top three finishers from both the amateur and professional divisions from each of the previous four tournaments in the series.

The championship tournament will not have multiple divisions as the previous tournaments, and all teams will play in one division, which is professional. The professional division means the boards will be 27 feet apart rather than typical amateur length of 24 feet. Cash prizes will be handed out for this championship tournament, as follows: $500 prize for 1st place, $200 prize for 2nd place, and $50 prize for 3rd place.

New for 2015 is free spectator admission, a free kids fun zone provided by King Kidz Fun Rentals, and food from Mi Ranchito will be available for purchase. Also, there will be a 50/50 raffle and adult beverages for purchase from Lawrence Distributing Company.

The tournament will start at 5:00 p.m. with sign in/registration being held from 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. The rain date for this tournament will be the following weekend, Sat., August 29.

Early registration for individual tournaments will be $30 per team in the professional division and $20 per team in amateur.  The fee will go up $10 in each division the day of the event.

Register online at www.SmithRiverSportsComplex.com or make an appointment at the SRSC to fill out a form.

The proceeds from this event will go towards the Friends of the Complex (FOC) program which is the SRSC's annual fundraising campaign. A special thanks goes to the sponsors of this event: American National Bank, Bassett Furniture, Boys & Girls Club of the Blue Ridge, Chick-fil-A King Kidz Fun Rentals, Lawrence Distributing Company, Mi Ranchito and Peoples Save No. 9.
