Oktoberfest 2015 will bring over 200 vendors, from five different states, to the streets of Uptown Martinsville. The street festival will stretch from Bridge Street to Lester Street filling Church Street and Main Street as well. Vendors will be selling arts, crafts, home accessories, holiday items, jewelry, and much more.

The festival will contain an assortment of food vendors offering American and German cuisine. Attendees can also choose from a selection of carnival delights including snow cones, funnel cake, cotton candy, ice cream, kettle corn and more. Devil’s Backbone Brewing Co. and Lawrence Distributing will sponsor a craft beer garden in the Bridge Street parking lot.

The Oktoberfest is FREE family fun for everyone. Keep the kids entertained with a number of inflatables, carnival rides, Infinity Acres’ petting zoo and face painting. The PHCC Patriot Players will be holding a family-friendly theme park style show in the Historic Courthouse. The Haunted Halloween Extravaganza will feature story-telling, reenactments and musical performances including some from the cast of The Addams Family.

Enjoy music by The Sauerkraut Band from 12:00pm until 3:00pm in the Bridge Street parking lot. The Sauerkraut Band is a professional musical organization based in the New River Valley in Southwest Virginia. They perform authentic German style music in traditional Bavarian style clothing. There will also be a variety of entertainers performing in the Broad Street parking lot from 11:ooam-4:oopm ~ including dancers, musicians and karate demonstrations.

Oktoberfest 2015 is sponsored by Devil’s Backbone Brewing Co., Lawrence Distributing, Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County, Martin Plaza Furniture Outlets and VisitMartinsville.

The Martinsville & Henry County Chamber of Commerce parking lot, on Broad St, will be reserved for handicapped parking.
