Newcomers and prospective residents to the area are invited to discover Martinsville-Henry County and all the highlights of living here.
On Tuesday, October 13, the public is invited to attend The Newcomers’ Network, a casual reception at the Martinsville-Henry County Visitor Center from 5:30-6:30 p.m. At the event, participants will be able to meet other new residents, learn about area clubs and organizations and discover the variety of attractions and events available in the community.
During the Visitor Center’s extended hours participants can also purchase tickets to PHCC Patriot Players’ production of “The Addams Family” and Martinsville-Henry County area gifts and souvenirs. New to the center are copies of the illustrated children’s book “Jeb’s Adventure on the Smith River” by local author Jennifer Gregory.
The event is hosted by the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce, the Martinsville-Henry and Patrick Counties Association of Realtors and the Martinsville-Henry County EDC’s Tourism Division. There is no cost to participate and light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The Martinsville-Henry County Visitor Center is located inside the New College Institute building at the corner of Church and Moss Streets in Uptown Martinsville. Convenient access is available from the Moss Street parking lot. Call 276.632.8006 for additional information.
