The cast of the show will be taking orders, serving food and singing Halloween themed skits between 6-9 pm on Thursday, October 15 at Wild Magnolia, located behind Patrick Henry Mall at 730 E. Church St. in Martinsville. Tips to singing servers will go toward the Patriot Players program.
The singing servers will perform several numbers from the upcoming show. Not only will patrons be able to see a sample of the costumes and musical numbers of “The Addams Family: The Musical”, they will also be able to buy tickets to the show directly from their waiter or waitress.
“The Addams Family: The Musical” performances will be on October 22-24 & 30-31 at 7 pm and October 25 at 2 pm in Walker Theatre at PHCC.
“This is our third singing dinner fundraiser with Wild Mags, and past events have been very successful! Everyone has an incredible time.” Patriot Players Director Devin Pendleton said.
Wild Magnolia Manager Mike Ashley said he was happy to support PHCC and the Patriot Players, and is even encouraging his staff to dress in costume.
“Wild Magnolia is excited to be participating with the PHCC Patriot Players again,” Ashley said. “The Nunraiser and the Throwback Thursday event we hosted earlier this year were huge successes. This is yet another opportunity to support PHCC and to support our community.”
“We’re grateful to Wild Magnolia for generously allowing us to come and do this event. All you have to do is come and eat, and you’re supporting performing arts at Patrick Henry Community College, our talented diverse group of community members, and our locally owned businesses,” Pendleton explained.
