The Smith River Sports Complex, Patrick Henry Community College and the Martinsville - Henry County's Economic Development Corporation have partnered to bring the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Men's Soccer National Championship to Martinsville, Va. on November 16 - 21.

Fans can also purchase tickets online by visiting njcaasoccer.com or smithriversportscomplex.com. Full tournament passes will be $40, while adult tickets will be $10 per day. Students with their college I.D. and senior citizens will be able to purchase daily passes for just $8. Kids 8 and under will be free.
"This national soccer event is sure to bring out the local and regional soccer fans to the SRSC in addition to our national guests," Billy Russo, director of operations at the complex, said. "We expect with our game times, marketing efforts, and our relationship with the PYSL and the local schools that we are going to be able to pack the house for each match."
Group play will begin for the 12 qualifying teams on November 16. The teams will be asked to play two games in three days to decide the four group champions that will advance to the semi-finals on November 20. The two semi-final winners will then square off for the national championship on Saturday, November 21 to conclude the week-long tournament.
"The sports complex is an extraordinary venue for all sports," said Chris Parker, senior athletic administrator for PHCC. "But this will be an A+ facility for hosting the 2015 D1 NJCAA tournament and will allow fans, coaches, and players a unique and inviting tournament site."
A complete schedule with approximate start times, as well as a list of teams will be available closer to the event. Check njcaasoccer.com frequently for tournament updates and information.
