Start the new year off with a new painting and loads of fun at Piedmont Arts' First Fridays Painting and Pinot, this Friday at the museum.

This unique class allows guests to bring their enthusiasm for art, a group of their closest friends and their beverage of choice for a night of painting with instructor Pepper Martin. Pepper will lead guests step-by-step through the creation of their own acrylic masterpiece. In just a few hours, guests will paint a beautiful work of art that they can proudly display in their home.

All experience levels are welcome. Painting supplies and light refreshments will be provided. Please bring your beverage of choice. Class is open to ages 21 and up. Register by Wednesday, January 1 at 12 pm. Class size is limited to 20 students.

First Fridays Painting and Pinot is held in conjunction with First Friday Art Walk, an Uptown-wide event held on the first Friday of the month. This monthly night of art, food, music and fun allows guests access to over 20 galleries, restaurants and shops from 5 - 7 pm or later, with live music and other events happening on select First Fridays. First Friday Art Walk is always free, self-guided and held rain or shine.

January's First Friday Art Walk theme is New Year, New You and offers the perfect opportunity to swap that old look for something fresh and fabulous at shops like Pieces Boutique, Studio 107 and The Artisan Center. Learn more at www.firstfridaysmartinsville.com.
