Piedmont Arts and Lynwood Artists encourage artists living within a 100-mile radius of Martinsville to enter work in the museum's annual open-entry exhibition, Expressions. 

Artists may enter work at Piedmont Arts, located at 215 Starling Ave, Martinsville, on Saturday, April 26 from 10 am - 1 pm. No more than two works may be submitted by each artist and all works must adhere to the guidelines found in the Expressions 2014 Prospectus, which can be found at Piedmont Arts and online at www.piedmontarts.org under the Visual tab. Lynwood Artists members and students may also enter work on Thursday, April 24 from 4 - 6 pm at the museum. 

Expressions is a judged exhibition with cash prizes awarded for first, second and third place in eight categories, as well as purchase awards, the Lynwood Artists Award and Best In Show. This year's exhibition will be judged by Della Watkins, Executive Director at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia.

Expressions 2014 will open at Piedmont Arts on Friday, May 9 with a Members-Only Reception and Awards Ceremony from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Piedmont Arts members, prospective members, exhibiting artists and guests are invited to attend. The exhibition will be on display at the museum May 10 through July 4, 2014. Piedmont Arts remains admission free through the membership support of people like you.
