The New Orleans Times-Picayune writes that Anders Osborne "possesses a voice that rises out of the darkness to the light of a soulful, tremulous wail. He is a consummate showman and shaman, bending successive moments to suit his majestic purposes. Osborne seeks an epic quality to much of his music, crafting layer upon layer of hugely scaled soundscapes. Since 2010, the New Orleans resident has toured virtually non-stop, either with his road-tested trio, as a solo artist, or as a guest with his countless musical admirers.
Stephane Wrembel & His Band
Stephane Wrembel has been called "a revelation" by Rolling Stone. Woody Allen recruited him to score the theme to the 2012 Academy Award winning film Midnight in Paris, and he performed live during the Oscar's telecast. To say that French-born guitarist/composer Stephane Wrembel, who learned his craft among the Gypsies at campsites in the French countryside, has already had a remarkable career would be an understatement. But this virtuoso, who is now Brooklyn-based, has truly just begun to make his mark as one of the most original guitar voices in contemporary music.
James Justin & Co.
Based in Richmond, Virginia, with their toes firmly in the sands of Folly Beach, SC, JJ&Co have built their base of spirited fans through heavy touring, high harmonies, and impeccable bluegrass chops. With one foot in traditional roots music and the other on a reverb pedal, Stratocaster in hand, it's no wonder that JJ&Co have attracted notable influences from Sam Bush to Band of Horses' Ben Bridwell to collaborate with on stage and in the studio.
The Shack Band
What originally started as an organic, impromptu and free-flowing collection of musicians casually performing in the renovated remains of a dilapidated "shack" in Blacksburg has morphed into what is now The Shack Band. In 2012 & 2013, The Shack Band played 250 + shows up and down the East Coast and as far west as Chicago, while performing alongside a number of national touring acts. Thanks to their raw, infectious live shows and incessant touring, the band have seen, felt, and heard the effects of their budding reputation and burgeoning fan base.
The Heat Run
The Heat Run is an indie-groove-folk collective based in Philadelphia. Brothers Mike and Steve Schaller began their musical collaboration as Oso, but it evolved into something new that demanded a new name and a fresh start when Steve introduced his brother to Ms. Mandy Shearer, an old friend from Virginia. The Heat Run's music is soulful, foot-stomping, hand clapping fun.
