Explore Blue Ridge Crafts by 16 Hands at Art at Happy Hour

Enjoy a free self-guided tour of Piedmont Arts' current exhibits during Art at Happy Hour on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 5 – 7 pm at the museum.

16 Hands: Two Generations, Working Together features work by members of 16 Hands, an enclave of craftsmen from Floyd, Virginia. Over the past 25 years, the group’s members have solidified deep friendships and a network of creative, technical and professional support. Drawn to the area by its beauty and tranquility, with much determination, they established working studios, vital careers and a way of life. Exhibiting artists include: Ellen Shankin, Brad Warstler, Silvie Granatelli, Benjie Osborne, Josh Manning, Donna Polseno, Hona Knudsen, Wendy Werstlein, Sarah McCarthy, Seth Guzovsky, Andrea Denniston and Josh Copus.

Dreaming Geometry: An Artistic Exploration of Mathematics features work by Jon Handy. Handy’s drawings are based in geometry and impart a sense of purpose and thought. The artist's brilliant mind is evident in his work, and this encourages the viewer to examine each piece searching for answers hidden within his clever mathematical drawings.

Art at Happy Hour is free and open to the public. Complimentary refreshments provided by the Piedmont Arts Guild. Please RSVP attendance by calling 276.632.3221 or online at PiedmontArts.org.
