Fall Fling Corn Hole Throw Down

The Smith River Sports Complex (SRSC) will host their second corn hole tournament, the Fall Fling Corn Hole Throw Down, on Friday, November 1st. Tournament registration will begin at 6 p.m. and last until 6:30, with the tournament beginning at 7 p.m.

The double elimination tournament, which will be broken into a professional division and an amateur division, will give competitors of all skill levels the opportunity to play in a tournament held under the lights at the Complex.

"Our previous corn hole tournament was very successful where we saw over 150 participants and spectators," said Amanda Gray, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the Smith River Sports Complex. "We expect to see an even higher turnout this time since we received so much positive feedback and requests to have another tournament after the last one."

Both divisions will win cash prizes for the top three places. The professional division will have the highest payout going to first, second and third place. First place in pro division will receive $150 on top of the regular prize money courtesy of AutosByNelson.com.

Early registration will be $30 per team in the professional division and $20 per team in the amateur division. Registration day of the event, November 1st, will be $40 per team in the professional division and $30 per team in the amateur division.

There will be a cut off for 60 teams per division so you are encouraged to sign up early to secure a spot. You can pick up a registration form from the Complex or visit www.SmithRiverSportsComplex.com.
In addition to the tournament itself, there will be a 50/50 raffle as well as live music from BreakerFall. Adult beverages and food from the Complex concession stand will be sold.

The proceeds from this event will go towards the Friends of the Complex (FOC) program which is the SRSC's annual fundraising campaign.
