Final Tournament Bracket Set

Starting this Friday, Martinsville-Henry County, Virginia will host the National Club Baseball Association’s (NCBA) Division I Mid-Atlantic Regional. The double-elimination tournament will be held May 10th-12th at Hooker Field.

Teams playing in the tournament include Ohio State University, East Carolina University, James Madison University and the University of Maryland. The winner of the Mid-Atlantic Tournament in Martinsville will be one of eight teams nationally that advances to the NCBA Division I World Series in Holly Springs, NC May 24th-30th.

Games begin on Friday at 4:00 pm when No. 1 seed Ohio State plays No. 4 seed Maryland. At 7:00 pm, No. 2 seed East Carolina will play No. 3 seed James Madison.

Additional games will be played Saturday, May 11th at 9 am, 12 noon and 3 pm and Sunday, May 12th at 9 am. A tie-breaker game will be played at 12 pm, if needed. A rain date has been set for Monday, May 13th in the event of an extended delay in the tournament schedule.

Admission is $5 for Friday and Sunday, and $10 on Saturday. Children five and under are free with a paying adult.
The Martinsville Community Recreation Association will sell concessions, as fans will not be allowed to bring outside food or beverages into the stadium. The Rec Association in helping local recreation, athletic programs and facilities puts all proceeds from ticket sales and concessions back into the community.

This event is a partnership between the NCBA, Martinsville-Henry County EDC’s Tourism Division, the City of Martinsville and the Martinsville Community Recreation Association.
