Healing Herbs from The Herbitage

This Saturday, September 27th, the Martinsville-Henry County Visitor Center will host an informative demonstration by local agri-artisan, Kris Landrum of The Herbitage from 1 pm - 5 pm.

The Herbitage offers fresh and dried herbs and herbal products. Their bath salts and soaks, lip balms, salves, massage oils, dream pillows, and household products are hand-made using organic, pesticide and herbicide-free, homegrown and hand-gathered ingredients. They create gift baskets and packages for special occasions and Ms. Landrum also teaches classes at The Artisan Center.

At the event, participants can sample some of The Herbitage's items and can even purchase some to take home to continue to enjoy the benefits of these products. "Artisan-tourism is a growing sector and as the Smith River Artisan Trail continues to expand in Martinsville-Henry County, we look forward to showcasing this and other talented regional artisans and agri-artisans."

As part of the "See-It Saturday" event series, this free demonstration will take place at the state-certified Martinsville-Henry County Visitor located at 191 Fayette Street in Uptown Martinsville, free parking is available in the Moss Street lot. While there, participants can discover the many things to see and do in the area and learn about upcoming events.
