Martinsville Speedway Offers High Level Of Action For Small Price

The first short-track race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season, the STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway on March 29, comes with an amazingly high excitement level and at an equally amazing low price.

Tickets for the STP 500 begin at just $45 and family packages start at only $110.

“We have always prided ourselves on keeping our races affordable for everyone,” said Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell. “It was a philosophy my grandfather H. Clay Earles had when he opened Martinsville Speedway in 1947 and it’s a philosophy that we have continued to today.”

If past races at the .526-mile oval are any indication, the STP 500 will be full of edge-of-your-seat action and close racing. In last spring’s race there were 33 lead changes and 14 caution periods. Last fall’s Goody’s® FAST Pain Relief 500 had perhaps the most exciting finish ever at Martinsville with Dale Earnhardt Jr. holding off Jeff Gordon to claim his first grandfather clock.

Post-race fan surveys consistently show Martinsville Speedway events as some of the most popular on the circuit, not only in the quality of racing, but in affordability, staff friendliness and ticketing, among others.

STP 500 tickets are remarkably affordable from top to bottom. While the entry level ticket is $45, the most expensive is just $85.

Martinsville Speedway also offers two Family Four Pack packages.

The first, for $110, includes two adult and two youth 12 and under tickets in the Clay Earles Tower, Sections KK-NN, Rows 6-14.

The second, for $150, includes two adult and two youth 12 and under tickets in the Sprint Tower, Sections AA-DD, rows 6-12, and Section EE, Rows 6-14.

Ticket prices for the Kroger 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on March 28 are also a bargain, $30 in advance for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

Tickets for the STP 500 weekend, including the Virginia Lottery Pole Day on March 27, the Kroger 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on March 28 and the STP 500 on March 29 are on sale.
