Meet Ashley Simpson

Meet a Martinsville Insider, Ashley Simpson. Ashley has a true passion for fashion. She travels all over the country to find perfect clothes that are cute and in style for her store, Pieces, which is located in Uptown Martinsville. Ashley lives in Martinsville but also spends time in Nashville, Tennessee which is where she gets a majority of the inspiration for her boutique. Here are Ashley's tips for enjoying Martinsville- Henry County, Virginia.  

Where do you take friends and family when they come to town?

"We go to Uptown Martinsville and venture around, always stop at the Daily Grind for some iced coffee or a sandwich! We also walk through various furniture outlets."

Where do you go to enjoy sports and recreation?

"We love going on the Dick and Willie Trail. Also, we go to Jack Dalton Park in Collinsville. I really enjoy a nice workout at the YMCA in Martinsville."

What are your favorite Martinsville-Henry County festivals and why?

"I would say I love Oktoberfest the most, which is held Uptown! It's always so amazing to see all the booths and activities there are for all ages at this event."

Tell us about your favorite place to shop in Martinsville-Henry County.

"I love shopping in my own store 'Pieces.' The neat thing about Pieces is that if the clothes don't fit you exactly right, you can go to Kay's Alterations in the back for a great fix."
