Music Night, Weave-In & Kids Sewing Classes
Music Night at Spencer-Penn Centre is Friday, September 8. Doors open at 5pm. Open MIC is at 5:30, bring your instrument and join the group. At 6:20, The Mary Jo & Charlie Show will take the stage for some great bluegrass music. The Southern Gentlemen will be on at 7:20. The Hutchens will finish out the show beginning at 8:00. It’s sure to be a great night of music and dancing. Dust off your dancing shoes, grab a friend and come hungry, we will have the air conditioning on. Concessions will be available. On September 23, Spencer-Penn Centre will have our Weave-In. Register early to make the basket of your choice. Registration fee is $18, this includes a light breakfast, lunch and snacks. Must pre-register by September 12th. Call the Centre for a form and list of baskets available to make, 276-957-5757.
If your kids want to learn to sew, we have the class for them. Vickie Wasoski will teach a sewing class on October 14th, 9am to 12 noon. Students will make a fall tote. This would be a great project for Halloween. For ages 8-11, $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
