Mustangs Announce 2013 Schedule

The Martinsville Mustangs announced the release of their 2013 schedule. The schedule is highlighted by three Fireworks Shows for the first time in franchise history! The first Fireworks Show will be held on Friday, May 31st vs. the Petersburg Generals. The huge Independence Day Celebration Fireworks Show will take place Friday, July 5th vs. Morehead City and the Mustangs will host a final Fireworks Extravaganza on Friday, August 2nd.

2013 marks the first year that the Franchise is being run by Team Cole & Associates who manage the Gastonia Grizzlies & Forest City Owls in the Coastal Plain League.

"Our first goal was to deliver an action packed schedule with our first year in Martinsville," said President/Managing Partner Jesse Cole. "Not only did we add extra games this year, we plan to make every game an event at Hooker Field this season! We plan to add even more promotions and excitement to the ballpark, so if fans aren't at a game, they may miss something special."

The Mustangs home opener is Wednesday, May 29th against the Florence RedWolves.

The Mustangs will host two special exhibition games on Saturday, June 29th and Monday, July 22nd against the Kernersville Bulldogs of the Carolina/Virginia League.

The schedule includes five of the popular "Thirsty Thursday" games as well as thirteen weekend games.

"The response to season tickets this year has been amazing," said Cole. "While many of the best seats in the Stadium have been taken, there are still some great reserved seats available.
