PHCC hosts fourth New York Times bestselling author this year: Judge Martin Clark

Patrick County and Martinsville circuit court judge and New York Times Best Selling Author Martin Clark is speaking at Patrick Henry Community College (PHCC) on Friday, March 31. Clark is discussing his book The Jezebel Remedy. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in PHCC’s Frith Exhibit Hall at 1 p.m.

The Jezebel Remedy is legal thriller of corporate conspiracy that is set in Henry County, Virginia. Using the area where he has practiced law for 22 years, Clark tells stories about life, people, and crime – presenting a gripping picture of a small-town living to the world. Some of the characters in Clark’s novels are real-life, well-known people from Martinsville and the surrounding counties.

Clark has received multiple accolades for his writing. He wrote the New York Times 2000 book for the year and has appeared on both Amazon’s and Barnes and Noble’s Top 100. Clark will hold a book signing at the end of his presentation, but will not have copies of his book for sale at the event. This presentation is part of PHCC’s visiting author symposium.

The symposium, which nearly complete, is a yearlong program that aid in the development of PHCC’s new honors college humanities curriculum. The next and final speaker, Adriana Trigiani – another New York Time’s bestseller, will be coming to campus this fall. With her presentation, PHCC will have hosted five New York Times bestselling authors in one year.
