Piedmont Arts to Give Away Two Free Family Memberships

Visitors to Piedmont Arts on Saturday, May 18 will get the chance to win a complimentary Family Membership to the museum.

In celebration of National Art Museum Day, Piedmont Arts will hold a drawing for two complimentary Family Memberships to the museum. Visitors may enter the drawing at the museum's front desk from 10 am - 3 pm on May 18.

Since 2010, the Association of Art Museum Directors has encouraged art museums across the nation to participate in Art Museum Day, in conjunction with the International Council of Museums' International Museum Day, dedicated to promoting the value of museums in society.

Many museums participate in Art Museum Day by offering free admission. Since admission to the Piedmont Arts galleries is always free of charge, the museum is offering visitors a chance to be more permanently involved with museum happenings through a year-long membership.

"A Piedmont Arts membership is a great way to get involved with the arts," said Bernadette Moore, Piedmont Arts director of marketing and public relations. "Museum members are the first to know about our exhibits and performances and they receive discounts on classes and gallery purchases. Hopefully, a complimentary membership to Piedmont Arts will allow a family to more readily experience the arts in our community."
