Piedmont Arts Uses Social Media to Engage and Inspire During Coronavirus Closure

Piedmont Arts is closed to visitors through June 10, 2020, as a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). All programs and events scheduled during this time have been canceled or postponed. Because of this closure, the museum has been forced to cancel its annual open-entry art exhibit, Expressions.

“We are truly saddened that the community will miss out on Expressions this year,” said Director of Exhibitions and Marketing Bernadette Moore. “The exhibit offers a wonderful chance to showcase the artists in our region. Expressions will return next year and we look forward to sharing the work of these talented artists with our community.”

To keep the community engaged while the museum is closed, Piedmont Arts staff members are coming up with new ways to provide helpful and engaging content. Starting this week, Piedmont Arts' social media accounts will feature daily themed posts to help engage and inspire followers during this difficult time.
