Primland Offers New Activity
Exciting news from our neighbors at Primland Resort. A new family-friendly activity – disc golf – flies into Primland this summer! Anyone aged 5 through 90 can enjoy this game, modeled after golf but played with flying discs. The 18-hole course has two sets of tee boxes – for beginners and more advanced players.
The course was designed by George Sappenfield, a pioneer of disc golf who organized the first official Disc Golf Tournament in 1969. Winding through woodland and meadows, the Primland course is a par 60 and is 4,462 feet long from the back tee boxes and 2,842 feet long from the shortest.
This fun, competitive game is open to overnight guests as well as guests without lodging reservations. There is no charge to play for overnight Primland guests. Guests without lodging reservations will be charged $10 a round and all disc rental sets are $15.
Inaugural Disc Golf Tournament Kick off summer, reveling in the warm weather and long days, with a family event everyone can enjoy. Fierce competition – and fun – guaranteed! |
While in the area be sure to also visit the 18 hole, 60 par Disc Golf Course at J. Frank Wilson Park, admission is free.
