Regional Artists Invited to Enter Annual Exhibit at Piedmont Arts

Artists interested in entering Expressions 2017 should drop off their work at Piedmont Arts on Saturday, May 6 between 10 am – 2 pm. Expressions is an annual open-entry exhibition presented by Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts.

Before entering work, all artists should review the Expressions 2017 Entry Form with rules and important information about the entry process. Entry forms are available at Piedmont Arts, 215 Starling Ave., and online at PiedmontArts.org

WHO MAY ENTER

All artists living within a 100-mile radius of Martinsville, Va., or artists who are members of Piedmont Arts or Lynwood Artists, are eligible to enter work in Expressions 2017

No more than two works may be submitted by each artist and all work must adhere to the guidelines found in the Expressions 2017 Entry Form. Artists who are members of Lynwood Artists or students in grades 9 – 12 may also enter work on Thursday, May 4 from 4 – 6 pm at the museum.

Expressions 2017 is a judged exhibition with cash prizes awarded for first, second and third place in seven categories, as well as purchase awards, the Lynwood Artists Award and Best In Show. This year’s exhibition will be judged by Diane Kendrick, Chair of the Art Department and Professor of Art at Averett University.

EXHIBITION DATES

Expressions 2017 will be on display May 20 – July 21 at Piedmont Arts. A reception and awards ceremony for artists will be held Friday, May 19 at 6 pm at the museum.
