Rooster Walk 6 Band Lineup Part 1

Rooster Walk 6 is coming May 22-25 to the Blue Mountain Festival Grounds in Martinsville, VA. Did you know that each year the Rooster Walk festival is home to the Tuff Strutter 5K Trail Run? Sign up for what many have called one of the toughest 5Ks in the Southeast.

Each week, we will be featuring different bands that will be performing at Rooster Walk 6. Here is the first installment:

Yarn 

The Brooklyn-based Americana/Alt-Country band Yarn serves up unique music that appeals to both rock and country fans alike. Yarn has become one of the harder-touring bands in the U.S. with over 170 shows per year since 2007. With a fresh sound that turns on hipsters and fans of country music alike, Yarn brings superior songs that tell the story of this thing called life. Yarn will have two shows at Rooster Walk 6, so be sure to check them out. Who knows? You might become part of the "Yarmy!" 

Kings of Belmont

The Kings of Belmont thrive off performing live and their shows have been described as "anything but predictable." While the set lists and song arrangements vary from show to show, the one constant is the energy of the band. This energy is matched by their loyal fans that come to each show prepared to lay it all out. The dynamic is intense, infectious and will make you want more. 

L Shape Lot

Mixing a healthy amount of musical chops, honest and creative songwriting, powerful stage presence and well sung four-part harmonies, L Shape Lot creates an original and dynamic Americana sound based in country, rock, bluegrass and roots/folk music. Their lively sound explores new ground, while still paying homage to their predecessors. Audience members can expect to hear music ranging from solid originals to classic country, traditional bluegrass and unique blends of all genres.

Urth

The dynamic rock/funk/groove trio Urth delivers a powerful blend of music that ranges from high energy rock to gritty funk and progressive fusion. Fronted with strong vocals and exceptional guitar and saxophone by multi-instrumentalist Brach Rauchle over the solid beats of Brett Reynolds and the hard-hitting, melodic grooves of bassist Nick Kalen, Urth generates explosive and dance-inducing live performances.
