Santa & Ms. Claus to Visit Historic Courthouse

The Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society is excited to announce that Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to Martinsville, Virginia on Sunday,December 6, 2015. The Claus's will be at the Martinsville-Henry County Heritage Center & Museum from 2:00-4:30pm on the 6th to talk to all the nice children in MHC and visiting children as well. Have your picture taken by a professional photographer for $10. Spend the afternoon with the Claus's in Uptown Martinsville. 

For those who haven't explored the museum recently, this is the perfect opportunity to see what's new. The Martinsville-Henry County Heritage Center & Museum contains exhibits on local and regional history that change regularly in the Collector's Gallery so there is always something new for everyone to enjoy. The former Deed Room is now home to a timeline of the history of Martinsville and Henry County featuring artifacts, photographs and articles on Native American fish weirs, the Civil War, tobacco and local industries. The Circuit Court Courtroom is open on the second floor as well as vintage clothing, antique tool and furniture history displays. 

The museum is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 2 pm to 5 pm.
