Seldom Scene at the Rives Theatre

Over 40 years since they began playing together at weekly jam sessions in Ben Eldridge’s Bethesda, Md., basement, The Seldom Scene have become one of the single greatest contributors to the progression of bluegrass while setting a new standard and attracting new audiences to the genre.

They will perform this Friday night at the Rives Theatre. Doors will open at 8 pm and music will begin at 9 pm. 

Three Group Ticket Packages are available (while supplies last) at the Daily Grind. Each package contains 10 tickets and costs $200, a savings of $50 off the advance price and $100 off the door price. Individual tickets cost $25 in advance from the Daily Grind, Rising Sun Breads and online HERE. 

The Seldom Scene have performed at the White House many times, and continue to tour year-round.The Seldom Scene are Lou Reid (mandolin/vocals), Dudley Connell (guitar/vocals), Ronnie Simpkins (bass/vocals), Rickie Simpkins (banjo/fiddle) and Fred Travers (dobro/vocals).
