What’s Happening at SPC?
Storytime! – Saturday, October 3rd, at 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Oktoberfest in Uptown. This monthly program will include special readers, crafts, and other fun activities. Come out and join us for this free program, fit for all ages! No registration needed
Music Night – Friday, October 9th. Steve Marshall & Highroad will play in the Alumni Hall. Gate opens at 5 pm, band starts at 6:30 p.m. Admission is a $5 CASH donation. Come enjoy some great mountain music and dancing! Concessions, including our ever-popular Spencer Penn hot dogs, will be sold.
Pelvic Floor Infused Pilates – Come join Postura-Aligne owner Melodie Ferguson! Classes help strengthen your core, support pelvic health and move with confidence. Schedule and registration options available at www.posturaaligne.com
Chair Aerobics – Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. with Judi Perrin. 45 minutes of exercise, strength building and fun! $5 fee
Bingocize – Tuesdays at 10 a.m. beginning October 6th with Lillian Holland. A fun mix of exercise, health education, and bingo to help overcome health problems!
Veteran’s Benefits Lunch and Learn with Landmark – Thursday, October 15th at Noon. Lisa Martin from the Landmark Center will present on many of the benefits Veterans may not be aware of. Lunch is provided, but pre-registration is required by Monday, October 12th. This program is free for members or $5 for non-members.
Halloween Cabaret Music Revue – Saturday, October 17th. Doors open 5:30 p.m. Performance begins at 7 p.m. Tickets $20. Concessions available – cash only. Costume or Halloween Apparel Encouraged! Purchase tickets here: https://square.link/u/M58cwk9Z
Watercolor Class – Saturday, October 24th at 9:30 a.m. Students will create several Christmas card designs with instructor Jim McIntosh. All supplies will be provided, but any students with watercolor supplies are encouraged to bring them to the class. Cost is $20/members and $25/non-members. Pre-registration is required by Thursday, October 22nd.
Annual Membership Meeting – Tuesday, October 27th at 6 p.m. Members are invited to gather and fellowship at our Annual Membership Meeting. Refreshments will be provided. You may RSVP to spencerpenn04@gmail.com or 276-957-5757.
