Fieldale Heritage Festival

Fieldale Heritage Festival

The Annual Fieldale Heritage Festival for this year will be held on May 17. This celebration of the Fieldale community features historic displays that showcase photos, silent movies, newspaper articles, and much more about the area's past. Enjoy music from various bluegrass, gospel, and country groups as you stroll through the community, perhaps on a walking tour. There will also be artisan demonstrations, delicious food, activities for children, dancing, and more for the entire family to enjoy. Locals and visitors alike are invited to enjoy all of the activities while learning more about this historic community.

Rooster Walk 6

Named one of the BRO 100 top adventures to check out in 2012 by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine, the Rooster Walk Music and Arts Festival is a charity fundraiser that takes place every Memorial Day weekend (late May) at Blue Mountain Festival Grounds just outside of Martinsville. The festival is operated by Rooster Walk Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to music, arts and education in the Martinsville-Henry County area.

Rooster Walk

Last spring, over 3,500 people came to see more than 40 bands over the course of four days. For 2014, over 30 bands have already been announced for Rooster Walk 6, with more to come. The bands performing cover a wide variety of musical genres, which makes Rooster Walk a great festival for any music lover. In addition to the wonderful music, there will also be food, crafts, art, and children's activities to enjoy. If you are a fan of the great outdoors, primitive camping is available. Children 12 & under have free admission with a paying adult. Don't miss the fun and excitement of Rooster Walk 6!
