Summer Art Camps are now enrolling for grades K-8 at Piedmont Arts

May 8, 2026

Summer Art Camps for children in grades K-8 are now enrolling at Piedmont Arts. These fun, informative camps are a hands-on way for elementary and middle school students to learn about famous art and artists from around the world.

Summer Art Camp for elementary students currently in grades K-2 will take place June 8-12 from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. each day. A camp for students in grades 3-5 will take place June 15-19 from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. each day.

These camps will focus on art history and appreciation. Campers will be introduced to artists such as Jasper Johns, Piet Mondrian, George Seurat, Marc Chagall, Faith Ringgold, Georgia O’Keeffe, and James Rizzi. Age-appropriate activities will incorporate these artists’ styles and techniques, including pointillism, mosaics, landscapes, cityscapes, neo-dada, and pop art.

A camp for middle schoolers currently in grades 6-8 will take place July 20-24 from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. each day.

This camp is themed “For the Culture!” and invites campers to explore art from African, Asian, Indigenous, Hispanic, and Old World European cultures.

All camps are led by Juandalynn Jones-Hunt, the art educator for Henry County Public Schools.

Tickets for each camp are $80 for members and $90 for nonmembers. Advanced registration is required. Register by calling Piedmont Arts at 276-632-3221 or online at PiedmontArts.org.
