Third Corn Hole Tournament in Series this Saturday

The third of five tournaments in the Blood, Sweat, and Ears Corn Hole Tournament Series presented by the Smith River Sports Complex (SRSC) will take place this Sat., June 20.

New for 2015 is free spectator admission, a free kids fun zone provided by King Kidz Fun Rentals, and food from Mi Ranchito will be available for purchase. Also, there will be a 50/50 raffle and adult beverages for purchase from Lawrence Distributing Company.

The tournament will start at 7 p.m. with sign in/registration being held from 6 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. 

Early registration for individual tournaments will be $30 per team in the professional division and $20 per team in amateur.  The fee will go up $10 in each division the day of the event.

There are three more tournaments, including this one, in the series on the following dates: June 20, July 11 and Aug. 22. The rain dates will be on the following: June 27, July 18 and Aug. 29. A championship tournament will be played immediately after the fifth regular tournament on Aug. 22.  

During the regular tournaments the Pro Division will win higher payouts than Amateurs. All 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in both divisions will automatically be entered in one pool for the Championship Tournament.  The Championship Tournament will play immediately after the Aug. 22 regular tournament where 1st place will win $500, 2nd place $200 & 3rd place $50.

The proceeds from this event will go towards the Friends of the Complex (FOC) program which is the SRSC's annual fundraising campaign.   A special thanks goes to the sponsors of this event: American National Bank, Bassett Furniture, Boys & Girls Club of the Blue Ridge, Chick-fil-A King Kidz Fun Rentals, Lawrence Distributing Company, Mi Ranchito and Peoples Save No. 9.
