A limited number of tickets remain available for the Virginia Museum of Natural History's “Grapes & Grains” fundraising event on Saturday, April 9 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the museum. Event proceeds benefit the VMNH Foundation Discovery Fund, which directly supports important museum programs in research, education, and exhibits.
Attendees must be 21 or older. Dressy-casual attire is requested for all attendees. Tickets to the event are $50 and can be purchased online, at the museum box office, or by calling 276-634-4162.

Delicious wines, brews, hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction await!
“Grapes & Grains” features wineries, meaderies, breweries, and distilleries from across the Commonwealth that specialize in a wide range of wine and brew types. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, live music and a silent auction will keep the night alive! Bid on amazing prizes ranging from home decor and sports memorabilia to overnight stays! For the first time ever, this year's event features ethnic foods, ranging from German to Bulgarian to Thai and Indian, prepared by specialty chefs!
Participating in this year's tasting portion of the event are: DeVault Vineyards, Hamlet Vineyards, Hickory Hill Vineyards & Winery, Homeplace Vineyard, Preston Ridge Winery, Stanburn Winery, Villa Appalaccia Winery, White Rock Vineyards & Winery, White Oak Mountain Meadery, Franklin County Distillery, and a special whiskey tasting presented by the VMNH curators, who will provide a variety of whiskies and explain the geological reasons whiskies from different regions have a distinct taste. Additionally, a variety of beers will be available, ranging from Natty Greene's Buckshot to Chaos Mountain Brewery's Cheeky Monkey.
