VIR to Offer New Product to Guests

VIRginia International Raceway (VIR), one of America's premier road courses and a prominent test facility, will now be offering Insect Shield® Repellent Apparel to their 400,000 visitors a year. Patent-pending, EPA-registered Insect Shield Apparel provides long-lasting, effective and convenient personal insect protection against a variety of insects including mosquitoes, ticks and chiggers and lasts through 70 washes. A collection of Insect Shield apparel will be sold through the VIRginia International Raceway pro shop beginning this month.

Beyond their love of racing, VIR visitors are active, outdoor enthusiasts who hunt, fish and travel the globe. Therefore, Insect Shield's revolutionary technology is an ideal enhancement to their lifestyle. In addition to offering Insect Shield product via the VIR pro shop, Insect Shield and VIR hope to partner on relevant charities and other cross-promotional opportunities.

"We are excited to partner with VIRginia International Raceway in offering our Insect Shield Apparel to their 400,000 race fans that attend events at VIR each year, says Richard Lane, Insect Shield President. "We are also outfitting all the grounds workers with our insect repellent technology. I know it will increase peace of mind for fans and employees by not having to worry about dangerous tick bites or annoying insects such as mosquitoes, ants, chiggers and biting flies while enjoying their outdoor activities."

"The first time I wore Insect Shield Repellent Apparel was during a 2003 trip to Kenya. At night, when the mosquitoes are worst, they would buzz up to my son and me but stop like they had encountered a force field. It was amazing!" says Connie Nyholm, Owner and CEO, VIRginia International Raceway. "We never got bitten and we have worn Insect Shield ever since. I am relieved to outfit VIR staff with Insect Shield to protect them against harmful tick bites as well as annoying mosquitoes."
