Winter Fun: Dale's Cafe

This is the first in a three part series designed to share a variety of fun and unique things for families to do indoors during the colder months.

Recently opened inside the Blue Ridge Regional Airport, Dale’s Café offers a unique and fun dining experience for all.

Imagine the excitement of watching planes and helicopters taking off and landing on the runway, right outside your window! The experience is fun for both children and adults. According to airport officials, an average of 25-30 planes land and take off at the Blue Ridge Regional Airport each day.

Inside the dining room, vintage luggage, maps and historic photographs of planes and regional pilots transport you back to the golden age of flight.

Dale's offers a themed menu with Student Pilot Plates for the kids as well as satisfying, full-size options such as chicken sandwiches, club sandwiches, salads, 6 oz. Angus cheeseburgers, hot dogs, steaks, homemade chips and more.

With great pricing and delicious food, Dale’s Café is sure to become a family favorite. Daily lunch specials and homemade desserts are also available.

At Dale's there is no bad seat in the house and the entire restaurant offers clear, up Dale's Cafe
close views of the runway. Keep your eyes open as you never know when the next plane will touch down! On warmer days, you can enjoy outdoor, seasonal seating and admire the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains in the distance, 

Whether you are flying in or cruising through, Dale's Café can get you refueled and ready to go! Hours are Tuesday through Sunday - 11 am to 4 pm and evening hours may be added at a later date.
