The Historic Henry County Courthouse, recognized as a community landmark, is home to the MHC Historical Society as well as the Heritage Center & Museum, that showcases a variety of exhibits. It is centrally located in the Martinsville Historic District and is open to the public for tours and meetings. The courthouse was constructed in 1824. A guidebook of the tour is available at the Historic Henry County Courthouse and at the MHC Visitor Center at 191 Fayette Street.

Admission is free. The Courthouse is open during Winter Hours: Tuesday and Friday 1 pm until 4 pm.
