Sounds on the Square will celebrate the season finale with the Andy Burnette Trio on Friday, October 4, 2024, on the Plaza of the Historic Henry County Courthouse, 1 East Main Street, 7:00-10:00 P.M.
Admission is free. Beginning at 6:00 P.M., Scuffle Hill Brewing Company will serve craft beers, and Tammy’s Grill will sell food. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Invite your friends and family for an evening of live music at Uptown Martinsville’s premier concert series.
The Andy Burnette Trio is a high energy, crowd pleasing, good time band from Martinsville, Virginia. The Trio is in constant demand, performing over 120 shows a year in venues all across the region. Audiences hear everything from 70s soul, to 80s and 90s rock, pop, country, southern rock, blues, and funk.
In the 2024 Martinsville Bulletin Readers’ Choice Awards, the Andy Burnette Trio won “Best Musicians,” Scuffle Hill Brewing Company won “Best Brewery” and “Best Place to Buy Beer,” and Tammy’s Grill won “Best Food Truck,” “Best Chicken Wings,” and “Best Appetizer.” Sounds on the Square was a finalist in the Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine’s “Best of the Blue Ridge” as “Family Friendly Festival.
John Phillips, Historical Society President, stated, “We have missed our friends for four of six nights due to inclement weather. Let’s make our last night of the season the best as we as we say goodbye to summer and hello to fall.”
