  • Hooker Field at Lou Whitaker Park – Built in 1988 for the Martinsville Phillies minor league team, Hooker Field is home to the Martinsville Mustangs. Named for the Hooker Furniture Company, the stadium seats 3,000. It offers ample parking, restrooms, a clubhouse with locker rooms, concessions and a covered party deck.

  • Jordan Creek Park – The facility features two fields- one 290’ deep and one 259’ deep. Seating for 820 is available along with a press box, ticket gate, restrooms and concession stand. The parking lot contains 160 spaces and additional roadside parking is available. A playground and large renovated picnic shelter are also on-site.

  • Southside Park – This 37-acre park features four professionally groomed baseball diamonds and fields (3 lighted). Seating for 1,000 is available and the grounds offer plenty of shaded areas for lawn chairs or additional bleachers. A concession stand, broadcast facility, restrooms and an upgraded playground make this family-friendly venue great for softball and baseball tournaments.

Monogram Foods Smith River Sports Complex – This facility boasts two top-notch synthetic FieldTurf championship fields, each equipped with Musco Sports Lighting, electronic scoreboards, and seating for 250 spectators. Additionally, there are three premium Bermuda grass fields with lighting for tournaments, along with a full-sized practice field. The Legacy Court Pavilion provides amenities such as restrooms and concessions. Families can enjoy a field-side playground with synthetic turf and an adjacent picnic shelter. Ample paved and overflow parking lots offer visitors convenient access to the Highway 58 Bypass.

Fishing
  • Philpott Lake – This 3,000 acre reservoir located in Bassett, Virginia in the northwest corner of Henry County. Walleye, smallmouth bass, carp and largemouth bass are just some of the species found here. Philpott Lake has nine boat launches, a marina with fuel slips, a tournament dock and onsite camping.
