Artwork Entry for Expressions 2026: America 250
10 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, June 13
Artists living within a 100-mile radius of Martinsville, Virginia, are invited to enter work in Expressions 2026: America250.
This open-entry exhibition, presented by Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts, honors the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. Work does not have to adhere to the “America 250” theme, but it is encouraged.

Galleries Closed for Installation 🚧
The gallery level, including the Discovery Room and gift shop, is closed through June 26 for exhibit installation.
New Exhibits Opening June 26
Join Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts for an opening reception in honor of “Expressions 2026: America 250” and “Works by Lily Ebrahimi” from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Friday, June 26, at Piedmont Arts.
An awards ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. in the galleries. Complimentary wine and light refreshments will be served.
This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP attendance by Wednesday, June 24.

Supporters honored at Clyde Hooker Awards
Piedmont Arts honored DelShana LeGrant and 3rd Bay Café for their support of the arts at the 24th Annual Clyde Hooker Awards on June 2.
The museum also recognized Arts in Education Award recipient Kourtney Merricks and scholarship recipients Carina Fiona Aquilo, Caesar Draper, George Louque, and Lauralee Robinson.
Ben Gravely, first vice president of the Board of Directors, said during the ceremony, “These recipients are community champions — some are public figures, others work quietly behind the scenes — but all have made lasting contributions to the cultural vitality of our region.”
Get Ready for Summer Fun 🌭
Franks + Dranks

Franks + Dranks returns to Piedmont Arts with music, food, and fun.
Singer-songwriter William Nesmith will bring a mix of pop, R&B, and soul to the stage. Enjoy a meal of hot dogs and fixings, whipped up by local all-star chefs Shane Pinkston and Will Gravely, along with chips, cookies, soft drinks, and water. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the cash bar.
Tickets: $20 for general admission and $10 for ages 12 and under.

Self-guided sessions provide a space to socialize while knitting.
Tickets: Free for members and $5 for nonmembers.
Yoga in the Galleries

Enjoy a relaxing yoga session with instructor Ally Snead in the galleries.

Summer Art Camp: Grades 6-8

Themed “For the Culture!” this camp invites campers to explore art from African, Asian, Indigenous, Hispanic, and Old World European cultures.
Tickets: $80 for members and $90 for nonmembers.
